We Got Fireworks And Flames During A 5am Amateur Dutch Soccer Team's Practice Because Soccer Fans Are Goddamn Insane

I want to be shocked by this but I've been in the blogging game for too long. 5am practice for an amateur club in Holland? That's no problem. There's a good chance - and by that I mean a 100% likely chance - these fans didn't sleep. Just rolled over from the bar, saw they had about an hour to kill before practice started and set up the fireworks. All good ideas come from late night bar talks, everyone knows that. 

Doing some research on this club - i.e. reading Wikipedia - there's a ton of history. They were founded in 1920! It says they are even the second most successful amateur club in the Netherlands. What makes it even better is realizing all these guys practicing with fireworks and flames are practicing at 5am so they can go to work later. Good chance they share a cube at work with someone in the stands. Makes it even better. You know who played for Quick Boys? Dirk Kuyt! Forgot all about that dude. 

Imagine rolling up to a semi-pro football practice here in America. We have a team like that in my hometown. Now imagine losing your shit over that team despite not having a family member on the squad. That's what makes European fans different. They fucking love their clubs. They also love flames and fireworks. 5am and they are out there shooting them off - tough break for those that live in the area. Never change soccer fans, never change.
