The Jaguars Should Sign Urban Meyer To An Extension Immediately

Now here me out. I understand things arent looking great in Duval. In fact, they are bad. But, what if they weren’t??? Just what if. That’s all I’m sayin. There in lies the rub, my friends. What if Shad Khan, the Jaguars owner, just said “you know what? All this shit is nothing but some swashbuckling hogwash. That’s it. It’s tomfoolery in the media and I’ve had enough. Urban is my guy yesterday, today, and tomorra.”

I couldn’t help but respect it. If he did that, I’d be back in on Urban so fast it’d make your head spin which would leave you leaning over my lap in the bar. Fingering inbound, obviously. Why keep Urban? The dude won three National titles, developed a then mountain west Utah QB Alex Smith into a unanimous #1 overall pick. He was such a great leader in part because he knew how to keep unsavory details under wraps to the point that no one knew Aaron Hernandez was a murderer. That’s leadership, folks. That’s called keeping things in house. It’s what we need to start doin in Jax. So what if things are embarrassing! Keep that shit in house!

Which is exactly why I think the Jaguars should extend Meyer to keep him in house.
