It's A Crime That MLB Network Put Cedric Mullins As Their 44th Best Player

When are we ever going to get these lists right? I know it's all offseason filler shows and talking heads debating it, but MLB Network naming Cedric Mullins as the 44th best player in baseball is a crime against humanity. He's got to be higher. The only 30/30 player in the bigs last year deserves a higher spot. When Trout and Buxton were hurt last year I think there was a legit case that Mullins was the best center fielder in baseball. Those are just facts. He was snubbed for a Gold Glove nomination last year, was a finalist for comeback player of the year, All Star starter, he really did it all. He has the speed, the defense, hits for average, hits for power, can steal you 30 bags, can and will bunt for base hits, he's a complete player. So to have him at 44 is wild, bump the guy up a little. I'm not saying top 15 or top 10, but toss him up there a little higher. He's the perfect leadoff guy, you would build this exact player in a lab if you were trying to create the perfect 1 hitter.

You need a fantastic diving catch after a less than average route? Cedric will do that for you.

You need a homer to put you up? Wanna go lefty-on-lefty? Yeah, Cedric can do that.

How about lefty-on-lefty off the Cy Young award winner? Piece of cake.

This little highlight tape showcases his talents pretty well, as I've said before he can do it all. He's the ultimate team player and needs to be higher, I demand MLB Network ranks him higher. 9th in MVP voting last year and a legit chance he finishes higher this year if can put up similar numbers. It's not out of the question that we see another 30/30 season from Mullins. Put some respect on his name and honor the 30/30 king the right way. Mullins top 30, no question about it. But I'm not here to get mad at a list, I can't and won't do it. Just a little disappointed.

Watch all those and tell me he's the 44th best player in the game. WRONG.
