Marcus Stroman Is Already Talking About Playing For Another "New" Team

This is what I'm talking about when I say I have no idea what to do with Stroman. He's a very good and consistent starting pitcher OVER the length of his career. The deal he signed with the Cubs is reasonable. He's very talented. But he also has a lot to say at all times about everything. Like the Will Smith slap most recently. It's a general attitude Theo & Co. actively avoided for nearly a decade and now I'm balls deep in it. Great content professionally. Personally I very much could do without for health reasons. But again, professionally, I appreciate this kinda material: 

NBC - “To be honest, I love the Giants and everything about that organization,” Stroman told Nightengale. “They were incredible. I was blown away. That organization is headed for great, great things. The people from the top down are incredible. They’re with it, man.”

First off Bob Nightengale sucks. I don't like Bob getting access and quotes and all this. 

Higher level though - everyone is saying this isn't a big deal. And I wholeheartedly agree. Stroman was asked about the offseason process and he answered honestly. No shame in his appreciation for a successful org that spends and builds around its guys. Everyone bitching about his praise is misguided. 

His closing remarks on the other hand. This is different. 

“I would love it at some point down the road to be a part of that team,” he told Nightengale.

He would love it. Some time down the road. Not now or tomorrow. Just at a later date when things are different. He would love it. 

Alternatively I still have time to go all in on Marcus Stroman and defend him relentless over the duration of his time in Chicago. And you guys know I can really meatball it up and live on the front lines. I have no problem being that guy if that's what it takes to survive and advance throughout the 2022 season. Although admittedly I think that could be one big waste of time as I'm pretty sure he's going to hate my guts regardless. Real catch 22 so maybe best solution is to win a bunch of games and go to the playoffs and then nobody will give a shit about anything. Trust me. 

Until then I have some stuff to work through. I'm open to suggestions.
