The script was too perfect. Freddie Freeman entered Monday without a home run as a Dodger and after a day of emotions and build-up, it took all of two pitches for him to get his first homer in Los Angeles in his first career at-bat against the Braves. Rob Manfred was in his David Stern bag tonight.
Good for him, man. I think the Freddie Freeman and Matt Olson moves are ones both fanbases will be more than happy with for the next few years. I hope Freddie continues his Hall of Fame career out in Los Angeles and that No. 5 is retired in Atlanta one day.
You just knew he was going to get that first one against Atlanta, though.
