CONFESSION: I'm Officially Done With The 'This League' NBA Twitter Offseason Bullshit Thanks To Kyrie, The Nets And The Lakers
I never thought I'd get to this point. I never thought I'd be sick of NBA news, especially during July when there ain't shit going on in the sports world on a daily basis. That said, whether it's the fact I'm an old now or not, I'm officially #DONE with this 'This League' bullshit. It's mostly due to the Nets and Lakers. Everything is linked to them and they have some of the worst in LeBron, Kyrie, KD (who is hilarious but draws shit out), Simmons, etc.
Just look at that stupid ass tweet from above. It's truly a 'my cousin who works as a teacher saw his kid in class' that used to be the running joke. Now 13k likes on a tweet about that? Nauseating. Same with this tweet that's now going viral with Cam Thomas from last night:
Everyone running with the fact the Nets hate Steve Nash. Yeah, sure, they probably do. They likely don't want to listen to him which is basically 'Kevin, help.' But now every single tweet relating to the NBA has some sort of meaning or people looking for shit. Hell, this was going viral:
Not every single tweet has to be broken down like the Zapruder film. Sometimes it's just a bunch of guys looking to see where they are going to dinner and reading some google reviews. Maybe they are discussing a trade. That shit happens all the time. My point is we've officially reached a boiling point with NBA Twitter. It's out of control. It's fun for about a week and then it just gets … old. That's the only way I can describe it.
Don't get me wrong, there's a difference between news (KD requesting a trade) vs all the other bullshit. That's what has to take a break. At least give us a little bit of time off from the Draft before we have to deal with Ben Simmons and the Lakers.
