Shocker: Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys Were A Complete And Utter Shit Show Of Penalties In Their Preseason Opener

Seventeen penalties. One hundred and twenty-nine yards. And those were only the flags the Broncos accepted en route to a 17-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Denver.

Gotta love Mike McCarthy, man. Seldom in my life have I seen a man with such a high-profile job in sports apply less critical thought toward self-improvement, much less the positive trickle-down effect that could have on making the Cowboys an actual success story.

Exhibit A: The Cowboys' last actual game, a playoff loss to the 49ers at home, followed by the eyesore of a display they put on to kick off the preseason on Saturday:

"America's Team" can get by in a bad NFC East division for now with the most polished (and expensive) QB in Dak Prescott. McCarthy can live off the spoils of defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's work in turning around his side of the bal. However, the reality is the mess of this organization starts at the top, and permeates the rest of the team from there.

Dallas has an enabling owner in Jerry Jones who can't admit what everyone believed to be true when McCarthy signed on the dotted line — and especially when he flat-out confessed to LYING in his interview. McCarthy is the wrong man for the job. I'm convinced any success or innovation on offense comes from the mind of play-caller Kellen Moore.

Listen to McCarthy brush aside the glaring lack of discipline on his team. It's as if he's living in denial. Personally, I'm still in denial that such an unprofessional hack has been handed the keys to the most valuable sports franchise on the planet. Flat-out baffling if you ask me.

Oh the eloquence. I mean you don't have to be on a damn presidential level when you're handling your business with the media, but Mikey Mike, come on buddy. A little fucking effort here please? I mean what is this half-assed reaction?

Get in somebody's fucking face and hold someone accountable, dude. Or I guess delegate that duty to Dan Quinn, too, why don't you.

Skip Bayless is over here about to lose his goddamn mind, Mike McCarthy.

I don't claim to have any inside knowledge of the Cowboys' locker room. I just can't imagine ever taking Mike McCarthy seriously whatsoever. How could you? If Dallas doesn't lead the NFL in takeaways or is somewhere in the top five — fat chance they will be, since history says that's a highly volatile statistic year over year — and can't get their undisciplined act cleaned up, maybe they can cut McCarthy loose and elevate either Quinn or Moore to the head coach spot.

Oh well. let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. It's preseason, right!? Hehehe. I don't really have a stake in the Cowboys whatsoever. Just trolling a bit. Oh but I also happened to notice fans on Twitter already calling for McCarthy's head after tonight's debacle. Probably a good sign.
