Josh Rosen Has Been Cut By The Browns And Is Now Looking For His 7th Team Since 2018

Farewell, Josh Rosen. Your time as a Cleveland Brown, spanning all the way from July 2022 to August 2022, was certainly a memorable one. While you may not have performed well on the field, going 17 for 33 with 0 TDs in your 3 preseason appearances, let us never forget that you took over sports talk radio for a day.

For a second I thought Josina knew something the rest of us hadn't caught wind of yet. A perfect time to use the Brian Windhorst meme. What was Josina talking about? Josh had been visibly awful in the eyes of Browns fans, but perhaps the insider heard otherwise. Were we trading him? Were we starting him? But alas, he has been cut....

6 teams since 2018, and now looking for a 7th. Is Josh Rosen going to be the first player to sign with all 32 NFL teams? Or is this the end of the road for the former #10 overall pick?

His resume is right up there with the biggest busts of all time:

2018: 10th pick in the draft to the Cardinals, went 3-10 as a starter with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions

2019: The Cardinals take Kyler Murray, so they trade Rosen to the Dolphins. He goes 0-3 as a starter, the Dolphins draft Tua, and Rosen gets waived.

2020: Signs with the Bucs practice squad. In December, the 49ers lose all 3 QBs to injuries / covid and they sign Rosen, but he sees no action

2021: 49ers draft Trey Lance, waive Rosen. He signs with the Falcons where he completes 2 of 11 passes on the year, including 2 interceptions.

2022: Signs with the Browns in July, gets released in August

Yikes. And I hate to beat a man while he's down, but I simply cannot forget the arrogance that Josh Rosen had leading up to the draft.

And then after the draft….

Farewell, Josh Rosen. May you someday prove that the Bills taking Josh Allen ahead of you in 2018 was a mistake.
