Former Lacrosse Player Of The Year (And Future Super Bowl Champion) Jared Bernhardt Makes The Falcons’ 53-Man Roster
It’s only a matter of time now. There isn’t a bigger lock in the history of locks that Jared Bernhardt will eventually be a Super Bowl champion now that he’s officially on an NFL roster. This dude just wins everywhere he goes.
He won the 2017 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse National Championship with Maryland. He won the 2021 Tewaaraton Trophy as the best player in college lacrosse. He then went on to Ferris State to play football in his 5th year of eligibility and casually carried them to the 2022 DII National Championship. He makes the position switch over to receiver, gets picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Falcons, makes some great plays throughout preseason to keep climbing up the depth chart and jumping past guys who the Falcons spent draft picks on, and now here he is as a part of Atlanta’s 53 heading into the season.
What an athlete. What a story. But this is just the beginning. Because whether it’s with Atlanta or ultimately anywhere else, this dude is getting another ring on his finger and there ain’t dick anybody can do about it. He’ll probably end up being the Super Bowl MVP that year just for fun. That’s just what lacrosse is all about. Producing the greatest athletes on the planet.
