Jorge Mateo Held Back Vladmir Guerrero AND Teoscar Hernandez From Fighting The Orioles When The Benches Cleared Last Night, Proving That The Blue Jays Are SOFT
We saw things get a little chippy in last night's Orioles - Blue Jays game. These teams flat out don't like each other, they're fighting for a Wild Card Spot and stepped things up a note by fighting each other after former Blue Jay Bryan Baker hit them with a "chirp chirp" motion".
The Jays have some guys who like to chirp, so it's no surprise it came to this. But the second that Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Teoscar Hernandez got over the railing they were swallowed up by Jorge Mateo and NEITHER of them could go anywhere.
Mateo had them both like a parent with bad kids at the mall. They were all talk, talk, talk until someone grabbed their jersey and then they were stuck in cement. There is no way Jorge Mateo who is listed as 6 foot, 182 pounds should be containing Vladdy Jr or Hernandez, let alone both of them. That just proves that:
A. They just wanted to jaw and not actually do anything
or
B. The Jays didn't really want to do anything with known Blue Jay killer Rougned Odor being out there on the field
I'll go with C. All of the Above.
