The Internet Is Divided On The Browns Painting Brownie The Elf At Midfield In Their Stadium

I think this idea sucks, but apparently I am in the minority here. Scrolling through Browns Twitter, you would think this is the greatest decision in Cleveland sports history.

I wish I could put on my Orange and Brown colored glasses and call this the 8th Wonder of the World, bragging about how the Browns now have the best field logo in the NFL, but I cannot do that with a straight face. Don't get me wrong, this is really well done. Hats off to the field and paint crew. And for an organization that hasn't even had a midfield logo since 2016, I agree we needed one. I just think using the elf logo is weird, and I don't understand why people are so enamored with it. I know it comes from "Brownies" being these little elves dating back to folklore, and I know the Browns used it in the 1940s, but I think we're completely off the mark with showcasing it again. Am I wrong or is the coolest part of the Cleveland Browns not the Dawg Pound? I would embrace that with all of the resources I had available....

Make the whole damn stadium the Dawg Pound, I don't care. Or, and I'm sure people won't agree with this, just toss the Browns helmet at midfield. I like the classic look. That's why Ohio State, Alabama, and Penn State have the best uniforms in college football. But I'm out the Elf.

Blah. I can't believe Cleveland loves this. Although, reading the replies to the Barstool main account, it appears the rest of the world does not.
