Move Bitch. Get Out The Way: A Seattle Are Cop Was Suspended For Posting A Tik Tok Video Of Her Telling Motorists To "Get The Fuck Out Of Her Way If She Is Driving Behind You" And I Couldn't Agree More

Seattle Weekly - A Federal Way officer who posted a controversial TikTok video last month received a suspension after the department found two conduct violations, according to the Federal Way Police Department (FWPD).

Officer Breanna Straus is seen sitting inside a vehicle while in uniform in the video. Straus urges people to move out of the way when officers are driving behind them.

“If we’re driving on the freeway in our police car, get the fuck out of the way,” she says in the TikTok video. “I can go 90 miles an hour, you can’t. You can’t do that. So get the fuck out of the way. If us officers stay behind you long enough, we can find a reason to pull you over.”

The department determined Straus violated the FWPD’s Code of Conduct in two areas of social media conduct and personal conduct. At the decision of Police Chief Andy Hwang, Straus received a 10-hour suspension without pay for the violations, according to police records. A 10-hour suspension is one shift.

In the video, Straus says that officers can “find” a reason to pull people over. When asked, Schwan said the department’s investigation did not review all of Straus’s past arrests made or citations issued to civilians.

“We had not received any complaints against Officer Straus regarding arrests, citations, or traffic stops,” Schwan told the Mirror.

Hit the fuckin music -

A few things here.

I saw this video and my first thought was, wait, is this an Instagram influencer impersonating a cop to get a reaction out of social media?

Secondly, I thought to myself, "although a mighty foolish idea to put these words out onto the internet, via your mouth, Offier Straus is 100% correct."

Giphy Images.

For starters, who the fuck is comfortable with the police tailing them? Ever?

It’s like being put on the spot, set up to fail, and you just know the slightest fuck up by you and those sirens are going off.

Are these maniacs she’s referring to so high they don’t realize there’s a cop behind them?

No shit you can pull anybody over for any reason. Everybody knows that. Right?

I once got pulled over “because I fit the description of a wanted man.”

A description mind you, the officer was able to make out at night, from the side of the highway as I did 75 by him in Indiana.)

Or are they the type who are just completely oblivious to everything going on around them?

There are very, very, very few things worse than people that have zero concept of how to drive on the Highway. Which I think means about 90% of our current population.

I actually discussed this in depth in a blog I posted when things began to start opening back up after lockdowns.

Hit any highway in the country tonight on your way home and observe for yourself.

People just sitting in the left lane, doing the speed limit. Cruising. For miles and miles. Cars switching into the middle lane blowing by them on the right then merging back to the left lane to get in front of them and accelerate. This happens dozens of times and they’re still oblivious.

Its anarchy.

Do driving instructors not teach pimply faced teenagers anymore that the right lane is for merging and exiting. The middle lane(s) for cruising. And the left lane is for passing.

So in Officer Straus’ case here, I agree with the message, but not with the delivery.

Talk about all time not thinking things through here.

What did she honestly think was going to come from posting this onto a platform full of billions and billions of triggered kids and adults and even more looking for something to be offended by?

Everybody knows you can’t feed the zoo animals.

With that said though, how soft do you have to be to be upset over this and complain? The only explanation I can come up with is that Officer Straus struck a nerve with the contingent of the outrage police that were guilty of doing this. And since we’re living in their world, they took offense.
