I Asked Why Kentucky Hoops Are Cowards And Won't Play Gonzaga At Their Arena, But Don't Expect An Answer Anytime Soon
One of the biggest college basketball stories this offseason was Kentucky announcing a home and home series vs Gonzaga starting this season. The only catch was because John Calipari is John Calipari and must have things his way, the game in Spokane will not be on Gonzaga's traditional home floor on campus known as "The Kennel", but when Gonzaga returns the favor in 2023 the game must be played in Kentucky's Rupp Arena.

I however was still perturbed by the situation as a college basketball podcast host diehard fan. Who doesn't love watching a true home and home series? Who wouldn't want to see Gonzaga a perennial power the last 10-15 years give a struggling team like Kentucky (who lost in the first round to a 15 seed in 2022, and missed the 2021 NCAA tournament) a chance to boost their tournament resume with a road win? I sure would.
So when I saw a Twitter space hosted by Kentucky Sports Radio Host Matt Jones and former Wildcats punter Max Duffy, I took my shot to get an answer.
Looks like the mystery lives on, and we may never get that answer on why Kentucky refuses to play at Gonzaga. I'm sure Reags will spin this again in Calipari's favor.
