Forecaster Frank's NFL Picks: Week 4
Week 3 was a good week for the dogs, but I went 0-3 in primetime, like Kirk Cousins, and finished 9-7. I am 25-23 on the season.
Thursday night
Cin -4 (o/u 47)
Bengals 27 Dolphins 13
This game is a bad setup for the Dolphins. Their 3-0 start is impressive, but playing a road Thursday night game four days after a war with the Bills is hard to see them winning. In addition, Hurricane Ian has affected their limited practice schedule. There will be better days for the Dolphins.
London Calling
Min - 3 (o/u 43.5)
Vikings 24 Saints 10
Jameis Winston's back injury has affected the Saints, as the team cannot move the ball on offense. The Vikings had a big comeback win over the Lions last week and could be in a good position with a win overseas, as the crowd sings God Save the (Vi) King before the game.
Sunday at 1
Atl + 1.5. (o/u 49.5)
Falcons 20 Browns 17
I love home dogs. The Atlanta Falcons have played well so far and could 3-0 with a play here and there. Jacoby Brissett has done well to win two games, but the Browns have some injury concerns and look ripe for an upset.
Buf -3 (o/u 51.5)
Bills 34 Ravens 17
The Bills could not handle the heat as they suffered their first loss of the season in the Miami sun. The Ravens bounced back from a fourth quarter collapse to beat the Patriots last week. The Bills are angry, and the Ravens are going to pay as Buffalo rumbles through Baltimore.
Dal -3 (o/u 41.5)
Cowboys 19 Commanders 3
The D in Dallas is coming up big, as the Cowboys are 2-0 with Cooper Rush at quarterback. The Commanders have not commanded anything, as Carson Wentz has been awful. I will not be shocked if this game is a shutout for the Cowboys.
Det -4.5 (o/u 48)
Lions 31 Seahawks 16
The Lions lost a heartbreaker in Minnesota but remain perfect against the spread. The Seahawks, meanwhile, could not beat the Falcons at home. Look for a rare easy win for the Lions.
LAC -5 (o/u 44)
Chargers 23 Texans 17
The Chargers are hurting, Joey Bossa is out for at least a month, and Justin Herbert is dealing with cracked ribs. The Texans have been competitive but have nothing to show for it at 0-2-1. Look for the frustration to continue in Houston as the Chargers get the win.
Ind -3 (o/u 42.5)
Colts 24 Titans 20
Each team got their first win of the season last week, with the Colts rallying to beat the Chiefs while the Titans hung on to beat the Raiders at home. The loser will be sounding alarm bells as their season will soon be on the brink. Derrick Henry has not yet found his footing for Tennesse. This is especially bad as the more put on Ryan Tannehill; the worse things are for Tennessee.
Chi +3.5 (o/u 39.5)
Giants 16 Bears 13
Two once proud franchises meet in a Sunday snoozer. Don't expect the scoreboard to light up as these two teams dredge it out with the Giants winning on a late field goal.
Phi -6.5 (o/u 47)
Eagles 23 Jaguars 13
The Jaguars have shown remarkable improvement in winning their last two games. However, before they can be called contenders, they must face adversity. This week, the Eagles defense has been stout, while Jalen Hurts has erased all doubt. Look for the Eagles to soar to 4-0, beating their former coach.
Steelers -3.5 (o/u 41.5)
Steelers 17 Jets 12
The Steelers have shown little on offense, as Mitch Trubisky has fans in Pittsburgh begging for Kenny Pickett to be given a chance. The Jets are getting Zach Wilson back but will have trouble getting off the ground as the Steelers' defense gets the win for the Black and Yellow.
Sunday Late Games
Ari +1.5 (o/u 42.5)
Cardinals 24 Panthers 20
Both of these teams come crawling in at 1-2. The Panthers won last week against a beat-up Saints, while the Cardinals got their win two weeks ago, rallying to beat the Raiders. Look for a strong game from Kyler Murray as the Cardinals get to 2-2.
GB -9.5 (o/u 40.5)
Packers 37 Patriots 9
With Mac Jones out, Brian Hoyer gets the start in Green Bay. It has been over 20 years since the Patriots were ten-point dogs in a non-COVID game. Look for the Packers to win this game going away.
LV -2.5 (o/u 45.5)
Raiders 23 Broncos 17
The Broncos offense has been awful, as rookie coach Nathaniel Hackett has struggled in game management. The Raiders have also struggled with Josh McDaniels being forced to endure a meeting with Mark Davis. The seat is hot for both coaches, and the loser will answer more questions at the game's end. Look for the Raiders to win the game as they erase the bad taste of the Week 2 collapse.

Sunday Night
Chiefs -1.5 (o/u 45)
Chiefs 19 Buccaneers 16
Tom Brady has struggled early, as the Buccaneers' defense has carried them to a 2-1 start. The Chiefs, also coming off a loss, are missing the deep threat that Tyreek Hill provided. This game will be tight, but in the end, Patrick Mahomes will make the plays for a win.
Monday Night
LAR +1.5 (o/u 42)
Rams 27 49ers 9
How are the Rams favorites to win this game? Jimmy Garrapollo and the Niners' offense has been awful. The Rams, after a loss in Week 1, have won the last two and are finding their groove. Look for a blowout in this one.
