Why I Took A Shot At Rico Bosco Today On Twitter
The funny thing, I want to like Rico Bosco. We have a lot of similar interests. We're both Mets fans, like talking about movies and TV and I think his blogs are pretty good. He wrote a great one earlier in the summer about the do's and don'ts about renting a beach house in the summer with your friends. But man, he can be a fucking asshole sometimes.
He started hating me when I was still going on the Kirk Minihane Show. He found out I once had Jeff Nadu on an episode of a podcast I had done over a year ago and immediately blocked me on Twitter. The peripheral Nadu hate seems to be inconsistent. Some people get blocked by Rico if they like a Nadu tweet but then if someone does a show with Nadu (like Marty) or hires Nadu TWICE (like Dave), they are exempt. Nadu has been good to me and I think The Sitdown is a good podcast. I'm not sure why that entails getting blocked?

My first week here, I went up to Rico and said hi and stuck out my hand. He looked at me like I farted and turned away from me. Literally every single person here has been really welcoming to me but him. I ignored it and for whatever reason, he kept hammering away whether it be on pick 'em with Dave and Big Cat calling me a drunk on a weekly basis or shitting me when he calls into Kirk's show.
Imagine if I went after Rico's father? How many dozens of High Noons would be sent my way?
Let me explain my tweet from today:
When I was referring to the $100K for one day of work, it wasn't about him at Barstool. He's here in the office most days and he does streams on the weekends. I was speaking about this insane request to work for KMS one day a week for $100,000/year:
I doubt Rico will stop hating me and I'm sure this blog won't help but I don't want to hate him. I'd be happy to shake his hand, let bygones be bygones and start fresh. But if he's going to keep being shitty to me, I'll be shitty back. Like many of you reading this blog, it's not like he can block us a second time.
