BREAKING: THE NEW YORK GIANTS ARE GOOD
Last week I said the Giants are back but now I'm saying the Giants are good. That's the adjective you get when you start 5-1 by beating a Ravens team led by Lamar Jackson and John Harbaugh (shout out Mad Libs for teaching me what an adjective is) and being the first NFC team to ever take down that combo.
The adjective for the offense today was once again ugly yet efficient with play calls from 1922 as well as 2122. But who gives a shit? The Giants are slowly getting back to the point of having receiving corps that belongs on an NFL field and having a reliable tight end that can catch all the underneath stuff is like going outside for that first warm day of the year. Everything is just so much better and should only improve now that we have freaks like this getting reps.
Feel free to return from whatever injury you have this week, Kadarius!
I'd talk about how my little lamb Daniel Jones continues to grow every week and makes all the right plays despite a bunch of practice squadders running routes for him. However I'll reference the words of the worst QB of this season about what a QB should be doing.
Followed by this stat from a guy that is 8-3 in his last 11 starts.
Obviously the defense once again nutted up in the Wink Revenge Game. It turns out winning games is easier to do when you get interceptions, so let's keep doing that along with wrecking havoc on the quarterback. Okay, "havoc" may be a little extreme. But the Giants closed the door on big bad Lamar Jackson when it mattered most and Kayvon Thibodeaux gave us a quick throwback to when life was always this good as a Giants fan.
Usually Giants fans are looking at next year's draft prospects halfway through October. Now we are looking at the upcoming stretch of schedule with games against the Jaguars, Seahawks, Texans, and Lions as we try to figure out how we can take the NFC BEAST, thanks in large part to these two guys.
I'm so happy right now. See you guys tomorrow for Victory Monday, which is becoming a regular celebration in the Casa de Clem.
