Regardless of whatever was happening downfield there, your odds of winning the game by running out of bounds are precisely 0 percent. Shoutout to whichever Barstool social mind came up with that caption, because I really do expect more out of a Georgia Tech student. Heave the ball somewhere inbounds and you at least have a non-zero chance of something crazy happening. Even if you know there’s nothing you can do, you gotta at least make it look like you tried something.

That quarterback is Tech’s backup Zach Gibson, who had attempted just two passes this season before being forced into action against Virginia. He completed 10 of 25 pass attempts for 99 yards, but I think everyone will really only remember this play from tonight.

At least he takes care of the football. Nobody can accuse that kid of taking unnecessary risks.
