NY Post: If the end of days is near, here’s a place where you can hide away from the horrors. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom, self-sustaining bunker has hit the market for $300,000. There is also a 24/7 surveillance system with a secure gate.
Forget the Roman Empire, the real thing dudes think about daily is surviving the apocalypse, especially if the end of days scenario involves zombies. If I'm laying in bed, struggling to fall asleep, I'll start thinking about how I'd survive a zombie armageddon. Where would I go first? Am I an idiot for moving to NYC, the worst place to be during a zombie apocalypse? Then I drift off to sleep, and have the best nightmares. If I lived in this Doomsday Bunker in the Missouri Ozarks, I'd never have to worry again.
This bunker truly has all the comforts of home, and if you read the article you can look at the actual pictures of the bunker, you forget you're looking at a subterranean concrete bunker. In fact, the interior design is so simple that it would feel less like a doomsday bunker, and more like spending the rest of your days at your grandma's stuffy apartment. Exactly how I'd like to go out.
The feng shui of the apartment obviously isn't important, it's all about the amenities. I'm not sure what good an 80 foot cell phone tower is if the entire western hemisphere has been blown off the map by nuclear war, but having a washer and dryer is clutch. Fresh socks in the middle of an apocalypse is a huge morale boost. The craziest part about this article is that this bunker on 2.4 acres of land that neighbors OTHER DOOMSDAY BUNKERS. Surround yourself with people just as crazy as you.
Believe it or not the guy who made this bunker is single, which is a damn shame because he seems like a provider. He is only selling this bunker because he is downsizing to a smaller bunker, and this bunker is too hard to keep maintained by himself. Which seems like this guy doesn't know how to doomsday prep if he didn't anticipate the upkeep on his bunker. That's why it's best to rent a doomsday bunker instead of buy.
