Ovi Celebrated Goal 802 By Going To A Bar And Eating Hot Dogs And Nachos

Is there a bigger legend in the world than this guy?? I'd say no. He's what you want every superstar in every sport to be. Look, Crosby and McDavid might be "better" all around players, but my goodness Ovi has that special trait about him that you can't teach, you can't learn, you can't duplicate, you can't replicate. Every other sport would be so lucky to have a guy half as cool as Ovechkin. Remember when MLB tried to push Mike Trout as a superstar by mic'ing him up at the All Star Game and all he did was talk about the weather? Some people are great at their sport and can't be marketed, Ovi markets himself by just being himself. There's nothing fake about him, he's just a big burly Russian who likes to chug vodka, eat hot dogs, and score goals. And last night he did all 3 while celebrating becoming the NHL's 2nd leading all time scorer. We're so lucky to have him, Caps fan or not. You can hate the Caps but it's impossible to hate Ovi. 802 goals and he just signed a new 5 year extension last season. And who knows? Maybe we'll get one more after that. What a guy, what a player, what a blessing to have been able to watch him for the last 2 decades.
