Why Not: Jay Williams Is Trying To Become Georgetown's Head Coach On Twitter As Fans Are Trying To Fire Patrick Ewing

Why not? I mean Georgetown can't get worse ... right? They've lost every single Big East game since they won the Big East Tournament as a huge surprise. 

They are arguably the biggest disaster in college basketball because of stipulations. They haven't had sanctions. They haven't been put on anything like Louisville or Oklahoma State, etc. But they refuse to go outside the Thompson family and doubled down on Patrick Ewing after he won that Big East Tournament. They put so much money into him. They gave him a contract that made no sense. They refuse to acknowledge a mistake because it's what Georgetown does. That's why you get a packed house of dozens of students chanting Fire Ewing: 

So why not Jay? He already got Roy Hibbert on board

I need Allen Iverson to say he'll coach. That's how Georgetown gets back. Imaging AI on the sidelines. At least make him interim coach for the rest of the year. Let us see it. If Georgetown is going to be this sort of disaster at least make them fun. Iverson does that. Jay is at least a name.
