Well this is just insane. In his collegiate debut, Mississippi State freshman Jurrangelo Cijntje struck out seven while allowing just one hit over four innings. And oh yeah, he pitched right- and left-handed.

When you're throwing 92 MPH from your weaker arm, you're probably going to have a decent amount of success against college hitters.

I don't get how this even works. 99.9 percent of people on the planet couldn't get remotely close to throwing a baseball 92 MPH and Cijntje does that with one arm and throws appreciably harder with the other. This kid is an alien.

I assume MSU wants to bring him along slowly and let him acclimate to the college game, but if Cijntje isn't in the weekend rotation by the time SEC play starts, there's been a terrible mistake. It's clearly in the Bulldogs' best interests, but I also selfishly want to watch this guy go up against lineups like LSU and Tennessee. Do not waste talent like this against Louisiana-Monroe all season.

Regardless of who it's against, though, this is just ridiculous. Best of luck to the SEC hitters who will be dealing with Cijntje for the next few years.
