We May Now Have An Answer On Why McDonald's Fries Are So Good

NY Post- This certainly is a pickle.

A TikToker who claims to know McDonald’s juiciest “secrets” has delivered a shocking allegation online: McDonald’s “world-famous fries” are far from vegetarian-friendly.

Pointing to the “natural beef flavor” listed as an ingredient on the company’s online US menu, TikToker Jordan Howlett, 26, said he knows “why McDonald’s fries taste different from everybody else’s fries.”

“It’s because McDonald’s cooks their fries with beef flavoring mixed within their vegetable oil,” the San Diego-based content creator explains in a TikTok posted last week that’s served up 9.6 million views.

It’s “why the fries taste so good,” he added, but it’s “probably bad news for vegetarians.”

The underground of fast food has always been fascinating to me. Secret menu's, 'hacks", how to get them to actually give you exact proportions on double meats, deals, etc. All of it fascinates me and I don't even eat fast food a lot. Something about the secret menu items always makes me intrigued. If it's off the menu and a "secret" I'm all in, it's like skipping the line at the club. Additionally, there's a bunch of fast food places across the country that you only encounter when traveling. For example... like Whataburger. I ain't rolling out of bed and heading over to Whataburger on Hylan Blvd on Staten Island. Same with In and Out etc. So when you do stumble upon one of those places you have to know what to do, what to order. Also, watching videos or Tiktoks about them only make you more excited when you finally get there. Count me all in on fast food inside info.

Which is why when I see something like this ...all in instantly. It's no secret that McDonald's fries are essentially addictive. Something about them were just better than everyone else. Anyone with a brain picked their fries as the best of the best in comparison to the competition. Everyone loves the McDonald's fries. EVERYONE. Some people even order an extra for the drive home when going through the drive through. Everyone knew how great they were, however the reason why seemed to be a secret, until now.

Beef flavoring. Who would have known, or who could have guessed that's what it was, also of all people this Tiktok'er is the one to crack the code. One way or the other whatever the hell they are putting in this oil is working. The fries are amazing, and always will be as long as they keep this little "secret" going. The big takeaway I have from this is how are these competitors not immediately trying to copy this for their fries ? If you want to try and beat the best, maybe it's better to copy the best. If I was Burger King or Wedny's I would be trying beef flavoring mixes or trying to replicate this thing, or plucking a Mcdonald's employee  and give them a raise to spill the exact secret. Show us the exact formula etc. Like Jesse Pinkman and Walter White. Adapt or die. McDonald's made the mistake of showing a little weakness, if you are a competitor now is the time to crack.
