Let''s just quickly touch on the fact while it's fantastic to see the Knicks thriving (that admittedly may be a stretch here) again, we do have to take a moment to reflect on the fact that advancing to the 2nd round should not be this big of a deal. Again, I ain't apologizing for shit being excited, and neither should all the lunatics celebrating on 7th avenue (although it is bonkers to climb poles and party like it's West Bar on 4th of July for winning one game but we won't talk about that).

So while everyone has a right to be excited, and that's what makes this fan base so great, it is rather pathetic that the once proud and storied franchise of The New York Knicks has been reduced to celebrating a Round 1 win like it's the Finals.
You do have to understand, Knicks fans are going crazy and talking themsleves into an NBA ttitle and climbing poles like maniacs because we have been so depraved of joy for so many years ... I mean so many. It's been pathetic. It's been frustrating. And it's been sad.
It's sad to have the MECCA be dead spring after spring. The fact that the Knicks made 2 playoff appearances in the last 10 years is wild. Growing up in the 90's era of the "no layups" Knicks I never would have thought the Knicks would become a doormat in the NBA but here we are climbing poles for winning a 1st round series. Nothing lasts forever and "The times they are a changing" as Bob Dylan once sang.
I'm still on the championship or bust mentality because it's fun to become irrational about your team, and that's what makes sports great, also because the Heat beating the Bucks (potentially) means the Knicks would get home court in the Semis ?!!1 Are you kidding me. Let's renew the rivalry baby.
Even though I'm positive vibes only, it's worth proving a quick point of where this moment ranks in terms of Top Moments of the last decade for The Orange and Blue.

Series was 1-1 baby! We were back in the playoff . We feared no one! You can't tell me The Knicks weren't back! I mean the world found out real quick we weren't but tying the series 1-1 was a Top 5 moment of the decade baby! (How sad is that?)
