5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS MATCHUP:
Gen XYZ is a career 2-1-0 against the Frankettes and famously knocked them out of the Season 1 tournament. They’ve had the Frankettes number, and now the two teams face off again.
The Frankettes enter the tournament on a 3-game losing streak, the longest in their Dozen career. They got the #5 ranking based on their Live Show wins and fan-vote.
Gen XYZ is a big feast-or-famine team. Their wins have been 13+ point performances, and their losses have typically been blow-outs. Large is their MVP, Jake carries them in Sports, and Vibbs has been unstoppable with his John Mayer niche.
Nick & KB have been solid all season; Frank is the wild card. Frank hasn’t hit MLB at a high rate, and his NHL whiff cost them their last match against Gen XYZ.
KB’s Geography knowledge is The Frankettes biggest advantage because he’s guaranteed to give 2 points and usually 3 points in the category.
Summarized: Even though the Frankettes are the higher seed, Gen XYZ owns space in the Frankettes’ heads as they’ve been part of some of Frank’s biggest Dozen meltdowns. Then again, those Dozen meltdowns are almost on par with Frank’s reaction when the Mets win a game 7-5.
3-ZITI vs. 14-FLUX

(14) FLUX
- 3-4-1 Record
- 11.88 Points Per Game
- 3.13 Steals Per Game
- 63% Niche Success Rate
-- Dana: 6.48 PPG
-- Feits 4.96 PPG
-- Will: 3.48 PPG
FLUX Category Advantages: Movies, Celebrity Mashup, MLB
5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS MATCHUP:
Ziti leads the league in points per game at 13.90, they have the second-best point differential at +25, and Eddie and Clem were both 1st Team All-Dozen. They’ve been a wagon.
FLUX struggled with communication early in the season but has improved dramatically since Joey took on final-answer duties.
We got the Snack God matchup as Clem & Eddie face off against Joey. It will be interesting to see if Ziti Doubles the Food category with Joey on the other side.
Chris was an All-Star and MVP candidate in Season 2. If he gets hot, he can take over a game, which they’ll need to beat Ziti.
Averaging less than 1 ppg, Stu is replacing Mintzy on FLUX. If the goal is throwing Ziti off their A-game, Stu is an excellent distraction.
Summarized: Without Mintzy, it’s hard to envision FLUX putting up enough points to beat Ziti. However, if Ziti treats them like a tune-up game, they might be shocked to see what Chris and Joey can do.
