The Chicken Sandwich Wars Have Gone Extreme With Panda Express Testing Out An Orange Chicken Sandwich
Tell'em Slim!!!
You're goddamn right, Mr. Charles. You always are.
I still remember when the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich was getting hyped online at Victor Wembanyama levels and somehow surpassed those expectations. We've had a few other chain restaurants throw their hats in the ring with varied success. But we haven't had anything as extreme as Panda Express getting into the sammy game with a food that everyone worth their elevated sodium levels always includes in their Panda Express order (I'm personally an orange chicken and Beijing beef guy to go along with some white rice).
Now news of our delightful food friends from the Far East testing out an orange chicken sandwich doesn't seem to be all that new of a story considering there were reports of Panda Express trying out putting their franchise player between a bun back in May at select California locations.
But this is the first review we've gotten of it and it sounds pretty fucking awesome. In fact, the only beef The Takeout's writer had with this sandwich seems to be that the bun wasn't great, which is something that's easily fixable despite the well known fact that great bread is paramount for a great culinary experience. All Panda Express needs to do is test out a few other potato buns along with maybe a sweet bun out of the King's Hawaiian catalog and we should be ready to cook. I'm also asking California's newest resident and fellow chain restaurant connoisseur Jeff D. Lowe to swing by one of the five locations slinging these sanctimonious sandwiches and give me a full breakdown since I don't think Barstool is going to foot the bill for me to go cross country as some bootleg Guy Fieri trying out different fast food joints.
P.S. News of this sandwich only makes this tragedy hurt even more since I no longer have a Panda Express within an hour of my home in Winterfell.
