Game Notes Countdown To The NHL - #11 Buffalo Sabres

NHL Team:  Buffalo Sabres

Conference: Eastern

Division: Atlantic

2022-23 Recap: The Sabres were arguably the most exciting team to watch in the entire league last year. Mr. Ice was on it right away hammering their overs. The team played a wide-open game with very suspect goaltending. Missing the playoffs by 1 point was something nobody saw coming. The younger players really got their sea legs last season and the chemistry and talent are now undeniable.

Biggest Loss: Rick Jeanneret The legendary play-by-play announcer passed away this summer and he was such a big part of this organization that he deserved a mention in this blog.

Biggest Addition: Erik Johnson Veteran Cup-winning D-man brings a wealth of experience and positive lockerroom vibes to a young team looking to make the next step. If I can just get one of his horses to win when I bet on them we’ll be all set.

2023-24 Outlook: The Chiclets Crew kicks the season off in Buffalo for the Chiclets Cup and we will certainly leave the Sabres with a "Chiclets Bump". This team has all the pieces in place to capture at the very least a Wild Card spot as long as they don't let Whit make any trades.

This city will be absolutely bonkers all Spring after celebrating a Bills Superbowl win and then a return to the playoffs by the Sabres. A return trip to Buffalo for a Playoff Game watch party is not out of the question.

Player To Watch: Devon Levi - The all-world goalie prospect came out of college and showed in 7 games that he is the real deal. Swords went 5-2 in those 7 games and Sabres fans can only imagine if they got him a week or two earlier what could have been.

2023-2024 Season Bet: Make Playoffs YES -110
