They Did It: Iowa Has Broken Its Own Record From Last Season For The Lowest Total In CFB History At 30.5 This Saturday

Iowa had two games in 2022 — against Minnesota and Kentucky — with totals of 31.5, which were the lowest college football totals on record. And if you thought that record would last for a while, you haven't watched the Hawkeyes play offense in 2023, because they've now set the bar even lower.

I don't know what the total would have to be to get me to take an Iowa over, but it's definitely lower than 30.5. I might consider it at 24. But even if you really think it's going to hit, betting an Iowa over has to be one of the worst experiences on Earth. They probably have Iowa offensive "highlights" running on a loop in Gitmo.

If history is any indicator, even with this Saturday's game being the lowest total in college football history, you'd still be smart tot take the under.

There's a legitimate chance Iowa goes 11-1 and has a chance to win the Big Ten and play in the College Football Playoff and then has to fire its offensive coordinator because he didn't reach his contractually mandated 25 points per game. Try telling me there is a better sport than college football.
