Kansas Knocks Off Oklahoma For The First Time Since 1997 And The Big 12 Is In Danger Of Having A CFP Participant
This one was well worth the weather delay. The noon start finally wrapped up around halftime of the 3:30 kicks and boy was it a doozy. Kansas jumped out to a quick lead and started taunting The Sooners.
That lead quickly evaporated and Kansas was back in the "not again" mode as the cameras panned the crowd.
But Oklahoma can't stop a goddamn thing and we had 6-7 lead changes and big plays late.
Gamblers were also bewildered at some of the twists and turns including making out whether a field goal was good or missed.
The real story out of this one for me is will the Big 12 be on the outside looking in when it comes to the College Football Playoff selection. It's fair to assume the Big 10 champ will be in, the SEC champ will be in, the ACC is still holding FSU who could be undefeated, and the Pac 12 will likely have a 1 loss champ. That's without mentioning whoever doesn't win the Big 10 with two o Michigan, Ohio State and State Penn still having ridiculous resumes. The Pac 12 potentially having Washington with just 1 loss in the title game, and an SEC runner up in Bama,UGA or LSU still sitting there.
Texas and OK have absolutely no wiggle room to lose anymore. The Big 12 is nowhere near the other conferences in terms of powerhouses. It may have the ACC by a hair given how bad some of the bottom of the ACC is, but I think I lean the ACC being stronger, and the SEC,P12, and B10 It's no question who is better. Each of their top two contenders now have a loss, and if we're being honest. I think there's a very real chance NEITHER… YES NEITHER could make the B12 Title game. Let me tell you something folks … K St is PRIMED to beat Texas next week, and if you think OK State is going to feel sorry for The Sooners. you got another thing coming. It's very very likely each the Horns and Sooners take their 2nd loss in conference next week and are left holding their dicks when it comes to selection sunday.
Again I ask the question … if you can't win the Big 12 … why go to The SEC and compete against those monsters ? I know I know .. the money .. .but enjoy the money playing in the Citrus and Pinstripe bowls you dopes.
