Of all the reasons to get rid of Eberflus that are on the field and abundant, the absolute SHIT SHOW of his coaching staff is probably the biggest indictment on him right now. I don't think I have ever heard of this before. We are halfway through the season and two members of the Eberflus staff have been dismissed due to, at minimum, "HR issues". Nobody knows exactly what happened as of yet, but Alan Williams and David Walker being fired for being, let's say, scummy is a BAD look. Doesn't have control of his own guys. Didn't do thorough character checks OR doesn't value character. Either way it's bad. Is this linked to play on the field? Not directly, but I think you can make a strong case that the culture is rotten and changes have to be made. Big Cat said on PMT that he still trusts Poles. I understand what he is saying, but at the same time would you trust him to hire the next coaching staff after he failed so miserably at his first crack? I think there's been enough bad on the field and in Halas Hall at this point to just make a clean sweep and start over. Nobody is all good or all bad, but Eberflus has been a failure and someone has to be accountable for that. If Warren elects to keep Poles, I wouldn't throw a fit or anything, but they need to find a genuine leader and culture setter as the next head coach.
