Gonzaga Basketball Has To Be Called A Power Program After Finding Out They Are The Key To Successfully Sliding Into Sydney Sweeney's DM's
I know, another Sydney Sweeney blog, but consider this a college basketball blog. Plus, there won't be an editor's note in order to add pictures. This clip has started to go around and, well, I've never been more convinced that Gonzaga is a major school. Forget the Final Fours, forget the lottery picks and for sure forget Jimmy Fallon. Sydney Sweeney (and her PR team) finding a message that stuck out from someone on Gonzaga or tied to the Gonzaga team is a bigger move than them going to the Big East or Big 12.
This is the key to major teams. They all have famous fans. Kentucky has me,George Clooney. Duke has Ken Jeong. Grand Canyon has Frankie Muniz. And now we can declare Sydney Sweeney from Spokane, Washington as a Zag. That's big time. She's one of the biggest *ahem* names in the game right now. I'm writing this blog partially because I know a Sydney Sweeney thumbnail picture is a cheat code in the blog game. Sue me, I'm honest.

The other reason I'm writing this? Gonzaga/UConn is tonight. It kicks off the best weekend in college basketball arguably all regular season. I mean you have that tonight. Tomorrow you have UNC/UK, UCLA/Ohio State, Memphis/Clemson, Purdue/Arizona, Baylor/Michigan State, Creighton/Alabama, Kansas/Indiana, Cincinnati/Dayton, Texas A&M/Houston, San Francisco/Utah State and even Texas Southern/North Carolina A&T. Loaded. We need more of this in college basketball this time of the year, preferably spread out a bit.
Tonight's game though is massive. UConn already looks like a top-3 team in the country again. A win here all solidifies it and should probably move them to No. 1 if Arizona loses. A Gonzaga win though? You're talking about the No. 10 team in the country who people are ready to shit on. I know it's in Seattle, but it's still a massive win. They need to stockpile those. That's what Gonzaga has been great at over the years. Win the nonconference games, run through the WCC and a top-2 seed. This is their last chance until UK in February for that signature win.
Either way, my hands are tied here. I gotta send Sydney Sweeney a DM about Blake Stepp and Dan Dickau and that legendary team.
