Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke!!

I thought for sure I'd give Luke Littler the ol' blogger jinx when I wrote about him earlier today, but nope, just another dismantling. This time taking out Rob Cross six to two in the semis of the World Championships.

In the event you missed my previous blog and need a quick catchup, here ya go.

Certainly not a day younger than 35, but we're going with 16 years old. Either way, it's absolute scenes when the man has a dart in his hands. Cross entered today second in tournament average, first in checkout percentage, and first in percentage of legs won. None of that mattered because Luke The Nuke was standing in his way.

Even though The Nuke looked a little shaky to start with some nerves, he quickly settled in, stole the second set and steamrolled from that point on. The crowd was so good behind him and made watching this all the better.

Here was the finisher. If you watch him throw, you quickly find out the double ten is his bread and butter. He'll go out of his way to find that and end the match. It's like watching Mariano Rivera throw his cutter.

Again, 16 years old. I looked like I should have been in elementary school when I was that age. This fella? I mean come on.

Nope, just 16 years old, dating a 21 year old woman he met on Xbox six weeks ago while playing Fifa. Wakes up every day and slams a ham and cheese omelette. Then he has pizza for lunch before he sets out to destroy the world in darts. Guy is a legend.

He'll play the winner of Luke Humphries and Scott Williams tomorrow for the world championship. Today he became the youngest world championship finalist by five years. If he wins the title he'll be the youngest winner by eight years. It's all insane.

If it happens to be Humphries (he's currently dominating) then you'll see this picture all over the place of them in a pub four years ago when Luke was 12.

Didn't see myself firing off two blogs about a 16 year old darts player to begin 2024, but here we are. Luke 'The Nuke' Littler is my messiah.
