Derrick Henry Had To Stomp All Over The Jaguars One Final Time As A Titan To Keep Jacksonville Out Of The Playoffs
One last notch in the bedpost for Derrick Henry as he turned back the clock one last time to bury the Jags and keep them out of the playoffs in what's expected to be his final game as a Titan. Right off the bat you knew he was dialed in, he was running hardddddd. He's always owned the Jags but this final win really cemented it. 19 carries, 153 yards and a touchdown to keep the Jags out and vault the Steelers and Bills into the playoffs.
That is now 1,564 yards in 15 games for Henry vs Jacksonville, who is quite literally their father. It was an awful year for the Titans and there are still a ton of questions hanging around them. Is Levis the guy? Will they have a new coach next year? How in the world do they fix this offensive line? But they will handle that later. Now it is all about DH22's potential last game as a Titan.
He'll end up in Canton someday soon and he'll play somewhere next year. But man was it fun to watch him turn back the clock again and have one final incredible performance in the two-tone blue. Salute to you, 22. Best running back of his era and it isn't close. Thank you for letting us taste those Jags tears. They're delish.
