Netflix's New Hit Show 'Fool Me Once' Stars Michelle Keegan Who Without Question Needs To Be The Next Bond Girl
As one does when they're bored I've recently scoured Netflix for anything new to watch. A brand new month brings on a plethora of releases to distract my brain from the terrifying realities in this thing we call life. After running through Pete Davidson and Dave Chappelle's specials it was time for a show. 'Fool Me Once' jumped right off the page at me, as it's soared right to the top of the charts since it's January 1st drop.
I'm four episodes in out of eight and it's definitely interesting enough to stick with it. It's a good ol' mystery thriller with a lot of British accents. I gotta be honest I really don't know what's going on at the moment in the show, but it's not predictable so I'm intrigued to find out the end. Ex-solider grieving the brutal murder of her husband installs a nanny cam in her daughter's bedroom only to see her husband in there. Twist my arm, I'm in.
But make no mistake about it, the best part of the show is the star, Michelle Keegan. Never once have I heard of this person, but that's because 1) I'm not cultured enough to watch British shows 2) she hasn't gained enough traction yet to star in any America content. 'Coronation Street' was her big break if you're interested.
Anyways, she's an absolute dream. All I see is British Minka Kelly. I don't want, I NEED her coming over to the States and taking a stranglehold on Hollywood. Seems like that may just be exactly what's happening.
(The Sun) According to reports, her work on the show has left many wanting to work with her.
A source said: "The response to Fool Me Once has been overwhelming. "The phone calls and offers have been coming in from Hollywood film executives, it's different to anything Michelle has experienced before.
Listen to this accent.
Believe it or not, Michelle and myself have something in common. We both have imposter syndrome! Only issue is that my version is legitimate while she's just outside of her own mind. If you watch 'Fool Me Once' you'll see she belongs in any show or movie she's cast in. I'm sure she's great in Coronation Street as well. We appreciate a humble queen though.
Another reason to like her…she came from a normal background having worked at a handbag store and as a check-in girl at the airport. She's not one of those nepo babies who just got handed her big break out of the womb.
(Daily Mail) The actress, 36, who found fame on Coronation Street, had a humble beginning growing up in Stockport, working at the Selfridges make-up counter and lusting over bags she 'couldn't afford' before landing a job as a check-in girl at Manchester Airport.
Keegan is not a nobody, but at the same time I don't think most would know who she is in America. 7 million Instagram followers will tell ya the Brits certainly have her on their radar, but goddamn does Michelle Keegan need to be on all of ours. She's said in the past how being a Bond Girl would be right up her alley and that seems like a no brainer.
(source) In an interview with OK!, the soon-to-be Mrs Wright said: "Alan loves Bond and he sees it; I can't say I see it but I'll take that. Ring the producer of Bond and get me in there! Let's do something about it!"
