HUGE BRAWL At The End of Incarnate Word vs Texas A&M-Commerce

Charleston is making a second half rally to have a come from behind win against William and Mary on CBS Sports and there’s a B12 rock fight (Texas/K State) and a top ten matchup between Houston and Iowa State currently on my TV’s . You also had Virginia get held to 41 points tonight. Safe to safe, the Southland conference isn’t going to be atop the headlines even on a sleepy Monday. 

(side tangent- remember when Big Monday was can’t miss tv ? Big East and Big 12 double headers?) 

(Other side tangent- why didn’t college basketball try to have a showcase of a few day games today ? People were likely dying for TV on a day off?) 

So if you want to stand out and get attention sometimes it’s got to be bad press and that’s exactly what the Southland conference did tonight with an all out brawl after handshake lines. 

Can’t say I approve of this, poor sportsmanship all around. Somewhere out there some old timer will have a take we should get rid of handshake lines altogether to which I reply .., handshake lines aren’t the problem it’s people acting like assholes in handshake lines. Don’t act like assholes and there won’t be problems in the handshake line. 

Hard to tell from the tape but if I had to guess it was the losing team who caused the problem - which should be another life lesson if you lose just take it like a man. No excuses.
