Oakland's Coach And Star Players Are Trying To Start Mental Warfare With Kentucky And I Refuse To Let It Work

It's that time of the year. A time, where, yes, my heart has been ripped out of my chest while my balls get stomped on yet I come back asking for more. That's why I feel inclined to write this blog. You see, March is just about being a fan as much as it is playing. Okay, maybe not, but at this point I'm willing to try anything out. Switch up where I sit in the house, wear different clothes, refuse to let certain people in the house and even more importantly, refuse to let Oakland win the mental warfare game.

They want to sit here and talk about St. Peter's. Fine. Let them. Greg Kampe starting to hype up Kentucky and talk about how great we are. Not on my watch. You know who is great, Kampe? Oakland. I mean you won at Xavier! You played top teams all throughout the year tough. You never should have been a 14 seed. I won't let your kindness one-up my kindness. Trey Townsend is the Horizon Player of the Year! Greg Kampe might be the most beloved person in all of college basketball. I want you to read those headlines and stop focusing on Kentucky so much.

It's not exactly a secret that Kentucky needs a run. There's a Civil War between Kentucky fans right now if you mention the word John and god forbid you add Calipari after that. A line is in the sand that it's either time for him to learn NBA or he's the guy for life (or until his contract is up in 2029). The last 3 years have been a failure. That's just a fact. COVID year missed the Tournament. Then you're a 2 seed, popular pick and lose to St. fucking Peter's. Last year you're a 6 and lose to Kansas State. Now you're back to a 3 seed with a draw that people like and a popular pick again. It's time to make a run.

This is step 1 of the NCAA Tournament though. The mental warfare aspect. Teams are believing they can win. Teams want the other team to be tight and freak out. I won't let it happen. It won't let my mind freak out. I feel like Kevin McCallister and getting ready to defend a house again.
