Uhh, What: Draymond Green Claims Zach Edey Quit During The National Title Game, Reminder That Edey Had 37 And 10

Come on. First off he's shouting out Samson Johnson here. That's who 35 is. Don't get me wrong, Samson Johnson had 2 big dunks that sort of sealed up the game. But Johnson played 5 minutes. If you're going to do the whole Zach Edey quit thing you could throw in Donovan Clingan or the entire UConn roster or Dan Hurley's game plan. Saying Edey quit is just stupid though. He's the only guy on Purdue who showed up!

Again, Hurley had a flawless game plan. He wanted to hold every other player on Purdue, let Edey do his thing knowing that UConn would score enough regardless. But you can't claim Edey quit. That's just stupid. It's not even factually correct. If you want to say that Edey cooled off after a dominating first half stretch, sure. That's true. If you want to say that Edey struggled in the second half after playing 39 minutes and bodying in the paint with Clingan and Johnson, sure. I'll listen to that.

We had our fun with Edey this year. Yes, it was annoying having all of college basketball Twitter freak out with him at the free throw line. The whole year just being he's tall, not good debate. The screaming from both sides. But the one thing you can't say is he quit on his team in the national title game. Annoyed, frustrated, bothered, those are all words you can use. But we're talking about Edey doing everything for Purdue against one of the most dominant teams we've seen. What do you expect? Did everyone quit who played against UConn this year?

That said, saying it was only Samson Johnson that did it was even funnier. At least give credit to Hurley's game plan and Clingan. Just an insane tweet all the way around. Can't say we can be all that surprised with Draymond though. Dude loves to throw shit out there and then argue that we're not as smart as him because he plays in the NBA.
