Steve Ballmer's Genius Strikes Again - Seats For 'The Wall' Will Be Assigned Based On How Early You Get To The Arena For Games

[Source] - Your arrival time is registered as soon as you walk through any of the entrances into the building at Intuit Dome. Your ticket will be registered, and spot assigned as soon as you enter the arena building.

Forget how the guy sounds in this video. We're not worried about that. This is about Steve Ballmer and his genius. It's no secret the Clippers need all the help they can get when it comes to fans. This isn't a dig at them or anything, they are just overshadowed by the Lakers. How many Clippers fans can you actually name and don't count Billy Crystal or Clipper Darrell? There ain't many. But now? This is how you build it. This is how you get Clippers fans invested into coming to, you know, Clippers games.

We need more sections like this in all of American sports. Too many games are corporate events. We need college environments. We need soccer environments, yes, soccer environments. The whole point of having a homecourt advantage is for your fans to be batshit crazy. I don't care if it's Ballmer and the Clippers leading the way, we need more of it. We already know some of the rules with it:

Some of it seems logical, like cheering for the home team. But, hey, any little thing counts with this sort of thing. I also love the idea of first come, first serve. Sure, it'll help the arena and the Clippers because people will in theory spend more in concessions, but treat it like student sections across America. You wanna be there for a big game and in the front row? Get that tent out and get ready to sleep uncomfortably.

Honestly, I hope this works out for the Clippers and gets recreated across America. It's time we make sports what they should be again. Complete insane people screaming for their team, less corporate shit and maybe take down the fights at every arena a notch. Great content, but I don't need my head on a swivel for a loose fist missing someone and hitting me by accident when I'm at a game.
