Millions of Dollars Worth Of Luxury Cars Are Being Rescued By Raft After Being Abandoned During Flooding In Dubai

First things first I would like to retract my blog from July 2021. Dubai absolutely does NOT know how to "control" the weather. Great analogy where there absolutely can be too much of a good thing. A glass of water in desert is a life-saving, refreshing, beverage. A year's worth of rain brought on by man...a natural disaster. A natural disaster that causes MASSIVE flooding of an entire city. Whoopsie daisy. That tech might need some further development. Maybe turn the dial down to like English country side mist instead of Amazon torrential downfall.

I have this memory that is possibly contrived in my own head or perhaps a mandela effect situation where a middle eastern country when they really first came into immense oil wealth had a shit ton of insanely fancy cars and then when those cars ran out of gas they'd just leave them on the side of the road because fuck it...just get another one. Dubai is one of the richest places on Earth (if you have UAE citizenship). They lost a shit ton of expensive cars to the flooding this week. And apparently while they don't have the greatest infrastructure they apparently have a rescue rafts for their cars on standby

Not all cars were so lucky though

Wild scene. I guess this is what happens when you have enough money to buy everything including weather, but not sewers for storm drainage. As always, JackMac gave the best breakdown on tiktok
