Don't Look Now But Our Own Dan Rapaport Just Waxed Grant Horvat, Fat Perez, Luke Kwon, And A Bunch Of Other Studs At A PGA Qualifier

Dan Rapaport just shot 76 in a qualifying tournament for a spot at the upcoming PGA Tour Myrtle Beach Classic. Seventy-fucking-six. If that doesn't impress you, look who he beat:

I've had the pleasure of playing some golf recently with Luke Kwon (Good Good) and I've watched plenty of videos of Grant Horvat because his swing is so sexy that it feels like dipping your hands in a giant vat of bird seed while your mom shops for dog food. I did this as a child and it has remained the single most pleasurable sensory experience of my life. Watching Horvat's swing is not quite as good. But it's close.

Fat Perez, from Bob Does Sports, came in at 81. If you follow YouTube golf, you know how good these names are. Luke Kwon played on the PGA Tour China and has made real money as a professional golfer. He hits the absolute piss out of the ball and has broken our hearts when we did a Foreplay vs. Good Good match:

Why am I writing this blog? Because I'm fucking proud of Dan, and because I know he wouldn't write it himself—a little cheeky post on Instagram as a hat tip to the very quiet haters is as much as we'll see. This is an unbelievable result. Shooting 76 with that pressure, on what I'm sure is a course that is set up for legit PROS to qualify for a PGA event? Beating the guys that he beat? The dude can ball.

Don't get me wrong; I like a lot of these guys. Christ, if Garrett Clark had been on here and Dan had beaten him, I would never have written the blog because Garrett and I are actually good friends who regularly make plans to play chess but somehow neither of us can find the time. Still, the friendly rival in me couldn't suppress a gleeful fist pump under my desk when I saw this scoreboard. Our best guy beat a bunch of their best guys. The top half of that leaderboard is all Korn Ferry vets and the Bryan brothers, so I'd say Danny did about as well as we could have asked him to do. Way to go pal.

Give this one a whirl, and subscribe to the channel. It's a good time:
