JUSTICE: Reggie Bush Is Getting His Heisman Trophy Back

While it took entirely too long, it seems like there might be some justice in this world after all. Reggie Bush is getting his Heisman Trophy back.

Good on the Heisman Trust for doing something logical. If the NCAA were in charge of the distribution of this award, Bush's would have been incinerated a long time ago and the thought of him ever getting it back wouldn't be entertained regardless of what college sports look like now and going forward.

Maybe my only controversial opinion surrounding the entire Bush-Heisman saga is that it's a little bit his fault for giving up the trophy voluntarily in the first place. He should have made them come and pry it out of his cold, dead hands. But all's well that ends well. And actually scrap that first sentence now that I think about it, because Vince Young should have won the 2005 Heisman to begin with but that's an entirely separate discussion.

I can only imagine how infuriating it must have been for Bush the last few years to see collegiate players making millions of dollars while he didn't have the top award in college football because he got a car and a few thousand dollars. I'd have hate in my heart every single day. But it seems the entirety of America has held steadfast long enough to have justice done.

What a couple weeks of wild PR swings for the Heisman Trust. Good for Reggie, though.
