Alex Perez Had Matheus Nicolau Seeing Stars With This Nasty KO In Tonight's UFC Main Event

Alex Perez is back!!! What a fucking knockout!! Seeing power like that at Flyweight (125lbs) is absolutely wild - but I'm stoked that it was Perez putting that power on display tonight. He seems like a good dude and it's been a long road back to the W column for him, full of fight cancellations and losses to some of the best fighters the division has to offer....
….but he looked tremendous tonight and I think he's a legit contender now.
After a pretty competitive first round, where Perez was working the body with super fast combinations - he seemed to get the timing of Nicolau down, and cracked him early in the second with a big overhand right.
From there, it was predator/prey mode, and just a matter of time - and this vicious right hook against the cage had Nicolau seeing stars….
As I mentioned earlier tonight, I know there weren't a ton of eyes on this card - but still, I'd rather a UFC card like this than no fights on Saturday night! Here's some of the other finishes from the event (and an homage to Holloway/Gaethje at 300)….
