Ohio's Tate Tried to Coach Me Up for Tonight's Louisiana Government Charity Basketball Game

About a month ago, I got a WILD invite from Louisiana State Senator Jay Morris to play in the Senate vs. House of Representatives Charity Basketball Game tonight at the PMAC at LSU!

I get some pretty crazy invitations but this one really shocked me and is definitely the closest I will ever come to the government. 

However, I am pretty dang bad at basketball so I called on the one man in the Barstool office who could help.... former women's high school coach Ohio's Tate.

We met up at 9am last Wednesday for a training video and he put me through the damn ringer! I had to run suicides until I could make a free throw after (took 4). We worked on all kinds of dribbling, shooting and he even had me taking charges and diving on the floor for loose balls in my loose fitting Zion Pelicans City jersey.

Did his coaching prepare me enough for the game? Prolly not. I am not even sure John Wooden could make me a competent basketball player but we will find out tonight.

I am supposed to get a few minutes off the bench and hope to not embarrass the State Senators too much! I will be getting video from the game for sure. Let's just hope I don't injure a politician.....
