After Two Long Years, We Finally Have a Trailer For The New Season Of 'The Boys' And It Of Course Looks Fantastic

Season 4 of 'The Boys' is almost ours, as we sit patiently for the nearing June 13th release date to arrive. It's been two years since we've seen this incredible show, and selfishly that's way too long for my liking. The writer's strike certainly played a hand in that delay, but next month we'll be able to see Homelander, Butcher, Starlight, Hughie, and the rest of the crew once again. Finally, the trailer above has graced our eyes and it does not fall short.

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it does feel like we're nearing the end of this series. The quality is above and beyond great and I don't see them dragging this on, waiting for it to dip and drop off. If I were to wager, I'd say Season 5 wraps everything up, so let's enjoy this while it lasts. Do you remember how good this fight scene was between Homelander-Butcher-Soldier Boy during Herogasm?

Based off of all the events that have led to this moment, including Gen V (go watch that if you haven't) and the scenes we have in the trailer, I'm going to assume the main theme of Season 4 will surround the virus Victoria is cooking up to kill Homelander and the rest of the supes. Will this have this have parallels of covid in it? Wouldn't shock me in the slightest.

Have to believe this is Victoria's lab that Billy and the gang stumble into.

Homelander will enlist people like this woman named Firecracker to join the Seven to be "wrathful Gods." I'm an immediate fan.

Also in the picture? Sam and Cate from Gen V!

The most shocking thing from the trailer? Gonna safely say the suped up sheep and chickens. What the fuck is happening here?

But everything all falls back to Homelander. I beat this take into the ground like a drum, but I really do believe no one on Earth could play this character better than Antony Starr. He was born to play this role and the fact that he hasn't been awarded an Emmy for it shows how much of a sham that system is. The longer this show goes the better, and that's so we can watch him continue to put on this masterpiece. That Joker-esque laugh he uncorks at the end was terrifying in the best of ways. Through and through, a lunatic.

Also, I don't know if there are any plans for Soldier Boy to return in this season or in the future, but we need it.

The show is the best. It delivers time after time, and it'd be foolish to assume a season two years in the making will leave us unsatisfied. If you need a little more convincing, there's this line from Starr.

A friend of mine recently said he was starting the series for the first time and I couldn't have been more jealous. All the gore, the one liners, the cunts, Homelander being a maniac, Starlight, it's just all so fucking good.

Did I say Starlight? See ya in a month.
