'He's A Cowboy, He's Naturally Delusional' - Perfect Time To Remind Everyone That CJ Stroud Mocked Micah Parsons About NFL Guys Playing In The NBA

We know the debate that's somehow still going on.

Just a hilarious and perfect Twitter event. One of the more ridiculous statements thinking any of these guys can switch sports at the professional level and be just fine. Yet here we are coming up with lists of players who could do the same. There's been one person in history that had a legit shot of doing both.

Guys like Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Mo Allie-Cox, Jimmy Graham, etc. The guys who basketball people will point at and say look, they played college basketball and became stars (for the most part) in the NFL. Those guys weren't sniffing the NBA. Just like football people who will point at Julius Peppers or Donovan McNabb. They were on college basketball teams, but they weren't even close to NBA talent. The gap is bigger than everyone thinks and will realize. 

That's why it's important to remind everyone about CJ Stroud who said this last week:

First, perfect response by Stroud to call Micah Parsons delusional and throw a joke at the Cowboys. Play to the crowd. It's batshit crazy that Micah Parsons thinks he'd score 20 points in an NBA game. Parsons is 6'3", 245 pounds. He's a physical freak and would be undersized in the NBA. That speed? Yeah, good luck having that translate to the NBA. We're not talking high school basketball or anything like that - which is why I laugh at people posting guys mixtapes. None of their mixtapes match Seventh Woods and that dude never stood a chance to make the NBA. The only mixtape that's close is Russ Wilson, who I'm convinced would take at least one Kyle Lowry type charge in an NBA game. 

Lucky to hit one or two threes is even ballsy to say, but it's at least logical. People love to talk about how easy it is to score in the NBA without realizing that, yes, these guys can also play defense. Dudes are just that good on offense. Stroud even has a good jumper, again, high school basketball here. 

The only good thing about this dumb debate is seeing Micah Parsons get roasted and reminding everyone the one person who could go from NBA to NFL is Josh Hart. Watch him fly after a rebound and tell me he wouldn't be a decent receiver. Oh and for flopping? Has anyone watched a receiver the last few years? Flopping is for sure in the NFL too.
