I Dont Want, I NEED This $1,000 Steak From Papi Steak In Vegas
Let me say this: I hate noise. I hate crowds. I hate clubs. I hate pompous people. I hate showboaters. For the most part I hate extravagance. But god dammit if I don't need that god damn steak. I know...I know. It's $1,000 for no real reason besides so people can take a video for IG and brag about the steak. The show they put on for the steak is unnecessary and over the top. But fuck do I want it. I'm just such a steak guy now that I see that and need to try it. I cannot get into paying $500 for a bottle of vodka at a club, but if I had the fuck you money, this steak would be at the top of my list.
And the other main point is despite all those things that I hate (noise, crowds, clubs, pompous people, showboaters, and extravagance), I fucking love Vegas. It makes no sense but like...there's something about being in Vegas that kinda lets you enjoy things you usually hate. In New York City I hate walking into a crowded restaurant. In Vegas there's something...relaxing about going to a club. I can't explain the phenomenon, but the best I can say is Vegas is a made up world where you can do anything without consequences. There's nothing to worry about because you're in Vegas, not reality. Plus you're only there for a few days at a time, so it's not like you have to live up to the Vegas standards 365 days a year, only for a short time where you can throw everything out the window, blow through your money, and figure out real life when you get back home. Pure bliss.
PS: To answer the questions about WSOP this year, I'm not sure yet. This is my official statement:
I'm at peace with it. I put so much of my money into investments, knowing I'd have to scale back other things. WSOP might be a sacrifice I need to make. We'll see.
