My Favorite Dudes Rock Moments

Yesterday will go down as one of the greatest days in Dudes Rock history. College Football 25 brought this country together in a way I haven't seen since we killed Osama. I've seen clips of George Bush throwing the first pitch after 9/11, and although it clearly rocked, I was only three years old, so I couldn't feel the moment. But yesterday, I felt it. Every man across the country spoke one language, and that language was college football. It didn't matter if you were Democrat or Republican, gay or straight, as long as you played the game, we were all one.

The next time someone asks you why you care about sports so much, tell them about what happened at 4 PM EST on July 15th, 2024. The foundation on which this game was built was so strong that not even the crooked media stood a chance at dividing us on that day. Not only was it a great day to be a dude, but it was an even better day to be an American.

Let us rejoice as we watch some of my favorite Dudes Rock moments:

1. The Miracle on Ice

I obviously wasn't alive for this—hell, I probably wasn't even a tiny little sperm in my dad's ballsack yet—but there is nothing better than an American underdog story, especially when it's against a communist. I could only imagine what it was like to be walking the streets of the United States after a win of this magnitude.

2. George Bush's First Pitch

Again, I was barely alive for this, but what a fucking moment. I can only imagine what was going through Bush's mind in that moment. The nation had just been attacked, thousands of people had died, and the entire country was looking to him to lead us through it. And he walks out there, cold as ice, and throws a strike right down the middle. Unreal.

3. Tiger Woods' Comeback

I'll never forget where I was when Tiger won the 2019 Masters. Much like CFB25, everyone was on the same team. It didn't matter who you bet on to win; that selfishness went right out the window when we realized that the cat in red had a chance to do the impossible. And boy, did he ever…. Side note, his win ran my bar tab up an extra couple hundred dollars, but it was a price I was willing to pay.

4. Any Fly Over

There are three things that make my eyes water every time:

1. The thought of my mom passing.

2. Thinking about the day I had to put my dog down.

3. Flyovers during the national anthem at a sports game.

I don't know why, but it gets me every time. I can't help it—it's beautiful.

5. John Cena Announces We Killed Osama

WWE was my life at that point in time. There was no one I looked up to more than John Cena, so to hear him announce that we killed the terrorist responsible for 9/11 in the middle of an Extreme Rules match was one of the coolest moments of my life. It was in that moment that I felt my balls drop and I became a man.
