Shut Up and Run: Tyreek Hill Says He Would Beat Noah Lyles in a Race

Did someone say "American hero"? Thank you, Tyreek, for saying what we’ve all been thinking! I don’t know what Noah Lyles’ problem is. This has to be one of the worst marketing campaigns in Olympic history. He’s the fastest man in the country, just won gold in the men’s 100M, and yet he’s somehow more unlikable than before. How is that even possible???

Even though Noah is “technically” correct, why did he feel the need to tell NBA and NFL players they’re not “world champions” when they win their titles? Why on Earth would you go after the athletes who play the two most popular sports in our country? Yes, they only play games in the U.S., but PLEASE tell me one team anywhere in the world that would beat the best team in the NBA or NFL… I’ll wait. And let’s not act like the NBA and NFL don’t have active players from other countries. Some of the top players in the NBA are from other parts of the world. Obviously, the NFL doesn’t have a European superstar, but they still have their fair share of players from other parts of the world. It’s like, why are you going out of your way to talk down on other athletes from the same country when you’re faking COVID after finishing 3rd and then hitting the club two days later?

I doubt it’ll ever happen, but if Tyreek were to race Noah Lyles and beat him, the internet would never let him live it down. Honestly, it’d probably end his career.

I don’t think that’s necessarily career-ending, as I’m sure plenty of companies are lining up to sign him, but it just goes to show how bad of a marketing campaign this has been for him. This man won GOLD and has lost sponsors while receiving backlash from his fellow Americans. I don’t get it, man. Hopefully, this all gets squashed by the 2028 Olympics, or that boat ride is going to be awkward as hell.
