The Browns Are Reportedly Fielding Calls To Possibly Trade Jameis Winston
No! No! NOOOOOOO! Don't you put that out there in the universe, Mary Kay Cabot. I know that the Browns currently have 4 QBs on the roster and it would be silly for us to keep them all, but do NOT let the one we let go of be Jameis Winston. The first and most obvious reason being that he is the best Pregame Speech giver in the league. And I'm not talking about active players, I'm talking about of all-time. I mean, look at what he's turned in for each of the last three weeks of the preseason alone:

How could you get rid of that? In all seriousness, what's a pregame speech like that worth to Vegas? Two points? If the Browns trade their backup QB, they'll go from being favorites vs. the Cowboys in Week 1 to a pickem! And plus, like PFT said, he's a pretty inexpensive vibes guy. You're getting his $4 million back in laughs alone.
But for real, I get that DTR could be the QB2 of the future, but he CAN'T be it this year. The Browns roster is too damn talented, and Deshaun Watson is too damn injury prone, for us to fall into the same trap again this year. And that trap would be Deshaun getting hurt for the rest of the year and having someone not ready to win NFL games come in. Joe Flacco showed what this team can do with a competent backup, and that HAS to be Jameis this year. I'm hoping Mary Kay Cabot is just going for some clickbait here, because the Browns would truly be stupid to move on from him. My guess that unless a team realllllly wants Jameis, Tyler Huntley is going to be the QB on the move here soon.
