Riding Go Karts with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in Appleton!
I am always amazed by the places the Barstool world will lead. And I gotta be honest.... Appleton, Wisconsin was not really on my radar. The High A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Brewers) DMed me a few months ago asking for me to come to a home game before the end of the season.
I always strive to take advantage of opportunities like these to go new places and meet new people so I agreed. With the season almost ending, we settled for Friday August 30th.
Thanks to the Timber Rattlers for going all out. They sent a team employee to pick me up in Chicago in the Timber Rattler mobile. We rode about 4 hours because of holiday traffic to Appleton. We even stopped at a Culver's for lunch and I thought it was pretty solid ESP for fast food.
Upon arrival at the game, I got a tour of the club house and facilities which were top notch for the minors. Then, it was time to throw the first pitch!
I was pretty happy with this effort! The first pitch was only the beginning.....
Shooting brats out of the bratzooka felt like the Wisconsin version of throwing Mardi Gras beads. So much fun!
Next it was time for go karts!
I even rode the slide and tested all of the concession food around the stadium. The people were wonderful and I can't thank the Timber Rattlers enough for hosting me! They are really good and gearing up for the playoffs too.
Who knows where the next adventure will be?
