The First Caller Into Cleveland Sports Talk Radio This Morning Wanted To Talk Baker Mayfield And The Host Lost His God Damn Mind

Listen there's nothing I love more than sports talk radio. It might actually be the #1 thing I miss about Ohio. Getting in my car, driving an hour to or from work, tuning into ESPN 850 or 92.3 The Fan and just listening to the chaos that ensues. People always say that Minor League Baseball or Professional Wrestling would be what America could take to the World Summit if we ever bring that back, but I think we should showcase sports talk radio. There will never be anything more entertaining than creatures that live in their mom's basement calling into a show with their takes, only to have the hosts lose their ever loving mind in return. And that's exactly what we had on CALL NUMBER ONE into the Ken Carman Show this morning, when the guy simply wanted Ken and Lima to guess what the numbers 42.9 and 144 meant! Those, of course, were the quarterback ratings of Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield yesterday....

And it's not like this is a one-week wonder either. Baker is thriving with his new landing spot down in Tampa, and Deshaun has been flat out AWFUL in Cleveland.....when he's even on the field. The fact of the matter is that Cleveland ran out the best QB we've had since we returned in 1999. Right after he went into Pittsburgh and beat the fucking Steelers in a playoff game.....

But I do stand with Ken Carman on his reaction. What the fuck do you want us to do now? Call tradebacks with the Texans and bring back Baker? Baker, who I might remind you, is the most grudge holding player in franchise history. I'm sure he'd come right back though, too. No, we need to suck it up and release Deshaun Watson, eating the hundred some million dollars or whatever it is, and admit it was the worst trade and worst contract in NFL history. And know Baker Mayfield is laughing his fucking ass off while we do it....
